Safety Measures

Welcome to this little security guide, which I hope will prevent you from getting malware/spyware on your computer.

First thing to know is that it is not safe to browse the web without an antivirus.

You can get a free one here.

And now, in case you do not completely trust an antivirus (which is smart) or do not have one yet, let’s learn how to find out whether what you download is safe.

PSP Software

The software that you can get from the site (psp software) is checked against the viruses, so you may relax about it.

Wallpapers

Wallpapers are images and you also can feel totally safe saving and using them on your PSP.

PSP Movies

There are many thousands of movies, and many millions of files available to download for them. We cannot check them all, however this section will help you check them yourself easily.

When downloading a movie, you always see the contents of the package – the files you download.

PSP Movies extensions (the last 3-4 letters after the file name, e.g. Lord_of_The_Rings.avi – avi) are as follows: .avi, .mpg, .mpeg, .mkv, .wmv.

It is safe to download and run these files.

If you see other extensions, especially: .exe, .bat, .msi, .url – just uncheck them when accepting download (i.e. – just do not download them).

PSP Games

The games extensions should be: .iso, .cso or archives.

PSP Music

And almost the same with the music. Music files should end up with: .mp3 or .wma or .rm.

I really hope this will help you stay safe, but you are always welcome to contact us should you have any questions.

Good luck, and enjoy your downloads!
